Knight Rider David Hasselhoff has the role of Michael Knight, a former cop turned private crime fighter. But the real star of the show is Michael's car, KITT (Knight Industries Two Thousand), a sleek black Pontiac Trans-Am impervious to bullets, fire, or any kind of mutilation. Equipped with state of the art, top secret artificial intelligence, KITT is not only capable of self-operation (With its mission to protect human life), but it is equipped with smoke bombs, flamethrowers, infrared sensors, and a host of other ingenious devices. Able verbally communicate with humans, KITT maintains a special friendship with Michael, the development of his personality (sometimes provides comic relief in the series). Knight Rider DVD includes a series of action-packed episodes including the first season of "Knight of the Phoenix" on that the dead officer Michael Long is revived after being pronounced dead by the billionaire philanthropist Wilton Knight.
