In the biggest scandal of insider trading two decades, members of the four firms have been implicated in the scandal developed. They are also likely to be much more difficult to detect the involvement of insiders. There will be a surprise if many more people were arrested and charged that the group currently mentioned.
The demand for performance among hedge funds in one tenth of a percentage point in performance can mean the difference of millions of dollars in additional compensation is already well known.
