West Hollywood Classics Five can not miss
West Hollywood classics have always been favorites of mine. While the West is not as popular today than in the past (even a bit of a resurgence of interest) all fans of the young filmmakers omitted the western genre from your area interest of the film have lost a truly outstanding motion pictures. The West is much more than the opera "Horse", as some described. So all the private Western film fans young, here are some classic Hollywood westerns of 1920-1950 years you owe it to yourself to see.
Wind was published in 1928 and was a silent movie. Directed by Victor Sjöström, based on the novel by Dorothy Scarborough "The Wind" and was shot entirely in the Mohave Desert. This story Letty, played by silent screen legend Lillian Gish. Letty's role has been one of the most beautiful parts of brilliant career. Letty was born in Virginia and moved to Texas to live with his cousin and his family. Sandstorms and punish the West Texas seems to punctuate his receipt unwanted. What follows is a tragic marriage, the threat of rape, murder and madness.
Launched in 1939, director John Ford's Stagecoach has become not only a Western classic, but demonstrated a leadership role of a young actor named John Wayne. "diligence, filmed in Hotel Monument Valley, Arizona, documents the perilous journey of a group of foreigners, on a stagecoach through dangerous territory Apache. A classic western with a combination of strong features, drama, action and humor, Stagecoach is considered as one of the most influential films of all time.
In 1948, the film adaptation s B. Traven, "" The novel The Treasure of Sierra Madre "has debuted. Directed by John Huston, this has often been called Western "film making at its best." Tells the story of two people by the U.S. and Bogart (Humphrey and Tim Holt) in 1920 Mexico, which together with a search engine golden age (Walter Huston) in a treasure hunt unfortunate for the Sierra Madre. Their friendship turns out to be of short duration sed as the gold corrupts the mind of the Bogart character Dobbs eventually turn every one against another. A picture of greed and irony.
1952 High Noon is considered by many as the greatest of the classic western ever filmed. This is not your typical Western. Having little in the way of violence, danger is exciting and fascinating. The film depicts the emotional and moral insight, centering around a value Mans in the face of extreme danger.
Reckon story of young married and left the city Marshall Will Kane (Gary Cooper) The story revolves around the death threats outside the Frank Miller after being arrested and sent to prison for Marshall Kane. With Miller showed a band in the city and Miller are right on the noon train, Kane must now decide whether to stay and fight or leave the city with his new wife (Grace Kelly) Miller comes before the fatal confrontation. A true adult classic Western with a great theme song (Do not forsake me not, Oh My Darlin '), sung by Tex Ritter.
John Ford made a number of westerns, but none is more worthy of recognition film 1956 The Searchers. Based on the novel by Alan Le May "The Seachers" which is based on a real life incident, this growing popularity of the films over time to the point where it is considered one of the best westerns ever made. This story of aging and Ethan Edwards bitter civil war veteran (John Wayne). A Comanche raid has killed his brother and his sister, his nephew, and kidnapped two nieces Lucy and Debbie. It is this tragic act that serves as the beginning of a search which lasted five years. Soon, Ethan found the body of her niece Lucy.
With the son of his adopted brother mestizos Martin (Jeffrey Hunter), continues the search for the remaining niece. Ethan hatred of the Comanches and what they have done is offset by the estimated Comanche chief Scar hatred of whites. After that, during his years with the Comanches, his niece Debbie was raised as an Indian chief married Scar, Ethan decides that now instead of saving it, you must kill him.
Whoever is the people of a time West Hollywood Classics principle not to be missed by all those who love film and film history.
