An approach to Japanese culture
Manga is essentially a type of graphic comic books, originally written in Japanese and then translated into English. Manga has found considerable popularity in the U.S. market because they are very different from our traditional American comics.
The Americans are generally the impression that comics are for children. But trends change with the introduction of talented writers like Alan Moore, Craig Thompson and Neil Gaiman. In Japan, manga is read and appreciated by all ages, from school children who attend competent adults. Basically Manga may be related to cartoons and movies like the manga is also found in a variety of subjects such as drama, romance, horror, mystery, science fiction, sports, comedy, fantasy and action movies.
During all these years, Manga has its own space in the U.S. markets. Sleeve has existed for some time, but in only one or two decades that became very popular. The first introduced to America was known as "Four immigrants sleeve and this has been established by Yoshitaka Kiyama, a student of Japanese art. The collections most popular novels such as The Legend of Kamui, the girl may psychic Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z.
One of the most amazing things about manga is that it reads in the opposite direction to our American books. These books on the back and read backwards. Unlike American comics titles, titles of classic Japanese Magna prepared and written by one person. By Therefore, these art books are more consistent than ours.

Manga stories contain many teenagers who ran adventure with the forces of evil, while some contain Manga historical details of the various historical periods. Most manga are much smaller compared to American comics, but the duration of each number is approximately 150-200 pages of our 20-30. In Japan, these comic books long, are very popular and are often subject each month. Some modern manga are still influenced by the popular arts as Yōkai Japanese monsters (and ghosts) and shunga (erotic art).
Osamu Tezuka, considered the father of the current manga. His most famous creation Astro Boy was also known as Mighty Atom. Modern novels are generally unpredictable, so readers gain interest for long. Manga characters are drawn using simple animated eyes that gives a strong appearance. Stories are winding full of tricks. Even superheroes die and sometimes comes back to life, the wicked will be easily defeated and circulation keeps readers engaged.
Manga is actually a great source to have a close look at Japanese culture, styles of writing and literature. Latest Manga film which was scheduled to be released somewhere in 2009 is "The Watchmen". Manga characters have been so popular these days that children love to put their posters on the walls and wallpaper on your PC.
