Everest Region
The Khumbu or Everest region is the area most popular trekking in Nepal. It would probably be the most popular destination, but it is more difficult to obtain because the Solu Khumbu region of Annapurna. To address the Everest, you have to walk for 10 days or fly to Lukla, a remote mountain airstrip where flights are notoriously unreliable.
Solu Khumbu is justifiably renowned not only for its proximity to the world's highest mountain (8,848 meters) but also for its Sherpa villages and monasteries. The main objective of the walk is the Everest base camp of Mount Everest at an altitude of about 5,340 meters. But you can see the Everest base camp, so most trekkers climb Kala Pattar, an unassuming hit 5545 meters on the southern flank of Pumori (7145 meters).
Apart from the problem of access, the most important complication for a trip Everest is a high probability of acute mountain sickness (AMS). This potentially fatal disease, commonly known as altitude sickness, is caused by climbing too quickly to a great height. Be sure to read the section on mountain sickness in health care and the first chapter by going to the Everest trek. If you have symptoms altitude sickness and can not go to base camp, you can always make an interesting walk to destinations such as Namche Bazar less ambitious, the administrative headquarters of the Khumbu region, Khumjung or Thami, more typical Sherpa villages, or monastery Tengpoche. Tengpoche of you have an excellent view of Everest and the most spectacular of its neighboour Ama Dablam (6856 meters).

Trek Everest Base Camp and Kala Patar

This is the best way for a trip to Everest. It follows the route of the old approach of expeditions Everest from the 1950's to 70. Provides a good opportunity to see the hills densely populated middle and the splendor of the high-altitude region or Khumbu region Everest. This trek offers an alternative to the traditional trek to base camp Everest. People climbing Sherpa of Namche Bazaar and Khumjung Gokyo valley and the glacier Ngozumpa, the largest in the Himalayas in Nepal. Gokyo Ri four peaks of 8,000 meters (Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse and Makalu) are visible at once. Download in Phortse make a high cross from the village of Pangboche and climb the Everest base camp. The path back through the monastery and Tengpoche Dingboche before lowering the Khumbu Valley to Lukla.
